Released in 2011, the limited-edition Air Force 1 pays tribute to the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rabbit. The AF1 x YOT (“Year of The”) began in 2002 and continues annually in conjunction with the Chinese New Year. The Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme Year Of The Rabbit models the classic silhouette with designs dedicated to the Chinese zodiac of the year.

Inspired by the popular Shanghai candy, White Rabbit, the pair borrows inspiration from the color scheme of the sweets. The sleek design features shades of white on a premium leather upper, with off-white suede paneling and a toe box that sits atop a translucent white midsole. The fur-like chenille Swoosh is red on the lateral side and blue on the medial and is complemented by a vivid blue topline, waxed blue laces and a “2011” deubré to match. In honor of the New Year, the Chinese character 兔 (rabbit) is stitched on the red chenille tongue tag and an animated rabbit is stamped on the back heel. The insole features unique branding dedicated to the theme. The pair comes with red shoelaces in addition to blue. 

The shoes come packaged in a special and extremely limited container molded to look exactly like the White Rabbit candy on which this release is based.
