The Nitro Squash belongs with boards specifically designed for turning and powder riding. They are easily recognisable to their very directional shape, with a setback foot stance and often, as it is the case here, a swallow tail. That being said, the Squash is not exclusively designed for fresh snow, as you will understand, it also performs on hardpack. It is stamped "Carver Crue" by Nitro, meaning it excels in carving!
What is the programme of the Nitro Squash snowboard?
The Squash is a board designed first and foremost for alpine turning. Indeed, the setback stance and tapered shape, narrower at the tail compared to the nose, provides lots of control and ease in the turns, but makes riding switch more complicated. This shape also provides a very good ability to lift, just like the purposely wider tips to improve floatability. The substantial classic camber ensures very efficient grip on hardpack. This way, you can carve beautiful turns on any kind of snow and spend your days carving on groomed runs or slashing pow between the trees, depending on the conditions. The Powercore wood core reinforced by biaxial glass fibre offers a medium flex, well-balanced between power and riding comfort. You can enjoy rebound out of turns on groomers thanks to the classic camber, but keep an easy to handle and not physically demanding board.
Who is the Nitro Squash snowboard for?
Accessible from the intermediate level, we recommend the Nitro Squash to snowboarders who favour sensations and precision in the turns and want to ride as much on groomers as in powder.
